Prescription Drug Take Back Program in Will County

This program protects Will County water resources, while reducing the materials going to local landfills. Each year thousands of tons of pharmaceuticals and personal care products enter the waste stream. Several United States Geological Survey studies over the past 7 years have found that many pharmaceuticals are surviving water treatment facilities and making their way into drinking water. The very medications that help people may be a concern to aquatic life.  For a complete list of locations, select the link above.

The Conservation Foundation
Conservation@Home Workshops

Conservatiion@Home is a program that helps homeowners make their yards more eco-friendly.

The prairie once dominated the landscape and the native plants have adapted to life here.  These plants are best suited to survive and provide ecological service to your yard including absorbtion of water, replenishing of our aquifers, feeding of birds and butterflies and a host of other yard benefits.  Conservation@Home seminars will guide participants in this eco-friendly process.  For further details, select the workshop link above.

Conservation@Work
This new program helps business owners and government agencies integrate sustainable land and stormwater management practices into their property. For further details contact The Conservation Foundation.
