Chlorides & Winter Deicing
Winter deicing activities account for a vast amount of chlorides that reach our rivers and streams. Chlorides can be harmful to aquatic life. There are many Best Management Practices that can be implemented at community, development and residential levels to help reduce the amount of road salt getting into our streams while still maintaining public safety.
Public Service Announcement & Poster Contest

Workshops & Seminars
The Coalition, in partnership with the DuPage River Salt Creek Workgroup and The Conservation Foundation, hosts several technical workshops each year. Check our Upcoming Events page periodically to find local workshops.
DuPage River Sweep

DuPage River Sampling Day
The Coalition coordinates a bioassessment of the watershed every three years. During that summer we host a River Sampling Day and invite members and the public to come and watch the crew from Midwest Biodiversity Institute sample for fish.
